Privacy notice
What I do with your data.
Last updated 16 August 2026
This is short because this site collects nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no forms. The only way I get any of your details is if you choose to book a call or send me an email.
Who is responsible
Uplift Ops is a trading name of A Large Company Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17290014, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. The company is the data controller.
For anything to do with your data, email alexander@alargecompany.com. I read it myself — this is a one-person business.
This website
No cookies. No analytics. No trackers. No forms. That is why there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to ask you to consent to. I do not know who visits this site, how many of you there are, or which pages you read.
The pages load no fonts, scripts or images from anywhere else, so no other company learns that you were here. The only outbound link on this site is the booking button, which takes you to a Google Calendar page.
My web host, Vercel, processes requests in order to serve the pages to you, which necessarily involves handling your IP address in transit. I have not switched on any of Vercel's analytics products, so no visit log is kept for me to look at.
If you book a call
The booking button opens Google's appointment scheduling page, which is a Google service, not mine. Google is a separate data controller for what happens on its own page, and its own privacy policy applies there — I do not control it and cannot change it.
When you book, Google passes me your name, email address and anything you type into the booking form, so that I can hold the call, send you the joining details, and reply to you afterwards. That is done on the basis of the steps you have taken at your request before entering into a contract.
If we speak on the call, I may make notes about your business and what you need, so I can work out whether I can help and quote you a price. That rests on my legitimate interest in running the business and answering your enquiry.
I will not add you to a mailing list because you booked a call. There is nothing to buy on this site, and I never collect payment card details here.
Who else sees it
Only the services I need to run this, each acting on my instructions:
- Google Workspace — the booking page, my calendar, and my email.
- Vercel — hosts the website itself. It holds none of your booking or email data.
I do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone else, and there is no automated decision-making. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards in their own terms, such as the UK addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- If we speak and you do not go ahead: I delete your booking record and my notes within 12 months.
- If you become a client: for as long as I am working for you, and then 6 years afterwards, because company accounting records have to be kept that long.
- Emails: cleared out on the same basis.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to give you a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or hand it over in a portable form. Where I am relying on legitimate interests, you can object. Email alexander@alargecompany.com and I will answer within one month. It costs you nothing, and you do not need a reason.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you came to me first so I can put it right.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the site ever starts collecting something it does not collect today — a form, analytics, a cookie — this notice will say so before it happens.
